Bhumi Pednekar gives a strong and impactful performance in her role as 'Latika' and Yami Gautam is quite impressive in her role of small town social media superstar 'Pari Mishra.' Ayushmann Khurrana stars as Bala, a young man living in Kanpur who is suffering from alopecia, and the story is about his lack of confidence and societal pressure that comes with premature balding. Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla, and Seema Pahwa feature in supporting roles. The film was also shot in Mumbai and Lucknow.The soundtrack is composed by Sachin–Jigar. The film was released in preview shows on 7 November 2019 and theatrically released in India on 8 November 2019.

During an interview with the daily actor Saif Ali Khan credits ex-wife Amrita Singh for his Bollywood success Saif Ali Khan was 20 when he got married to Amrita Singh. While Amrita was an established actress, Saif was yet to begin his career. And the 49-year-old actor recently revealed that his ex-wife played a pivoral role in shaping up his career. In an interview with Mid-Day, Saif credited Amrita for his Bollywood success. The actor said, "I ran away from home, and got married at 20. And I've to give Amrita, my ex-wife, credit for being the only person who taught me to take it all seriously. She said you can't hit the target while laughing at it. That's when Parampara happened." Saif made his Bollywood debut with the 1993 film Parampara, two years after his wedding to Amrita Singh.
